The project generally includes subgrade preparation, subgrade drainage and storm piping, concrete curb work, concrete flat work, miscellaneous playground equipment installation, painting, and turf surfacing. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of specified sections of Public Act 85-1295. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid, made payable to the Board of Education, West Central CUSD #235. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost, from a U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed in Illinois. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after bid opening. Questions raised at the meeting will be answered by architect if possible, or by addendum if necessary.
