Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, material, tools, and equipment to renovate food and nutrition as specified herein at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVSMVACM) located at 2002 Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, MS. All work shall be performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Magnitude of construction is between 5,000,000.00 and 10,000,000.00. This opportunity is available only to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS requires renovation of approximately 12,000 square feet of the existing nutrition and food service kitchen, in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, transportation, and supervision required for the renovation. A trailer lease module or fabrication will be needed to house temporary cook prep, tray assembly, and dish washing operations. All construction work must comply with JCAHO, NFPA, OSHA, and life safety requirements and must be performed without affecting the medical center's operations. Work includes labor and supervision for architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunication, and any other work required by the construction plans and specifications. At least 15 percent of the contracts personnel costs must be spent on the concern's employees or employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns. The solicitation requires submission of a bid bond with the proposal, and performance and payment bonds from the awardee.
