Principal items of work include the construction of a deep water production well, a chemical treatment/metering building, a 15,000 gallon clear well tank, a stand-by natural gas generator, ductile iron piping, and other appurtenances. Another principal work item includes the installation of approximately 3600 LF of 6 Class 200 PVC Water Main, 30 LF of 12 Steel Casing, a fire hydrant assembly, 3 6x6 Tapping Sleeve & Valve, .50 Ton of DI Fitting, and other related items. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete proposals made available by the Owner. Complete digital project bidding documents are available upon payment of a non-refundable fee by visiting the designated website and following the membership and download instructions. Optional complete paper bid documents are available upon payment of a refundable deposit, mailed only upon receipt of deposit and no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. Bidders must submit security with their bid as provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama and must submit satisfactory evidence of such license with the bid. Prequalification of bidders is not required.
