The City of Fruita is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to provide trash can servicing and litter control services for City parks. The selected Contractor shall service more than 130 trash cans seven days per week during the seasonal period of March 1 through November 30. Trash cans are to be checked daily as close to park opening as reasonably possible, emptied on an as-needed basis to ensure cleanliness and prevent overflow. The City will provide dumpsters for waste disposal and supply all required trash can liners. The Contractor is responsible for disposing of collected waste in City-provided dumpsters. In addition to trash can servicing, the Contractor shall provide litter control in the immediate areas surrounding trash cans and dumpster locations, including removal of loose trash and debris to maintain a clean and orderly appearance. During peak summer months, additional servicing of trash cans near shelters, sports fields, or high-use areas may be required based on event schedules and will be coordinated in advance. Requests for servicing additional cans for special events or rentals may be made, and such services will be compensated at an additional agreed-upon fee. General requirement: Insurance is required. An electronic copy of the proposal shall be submitted either on Bidnet or by email to the specified address.
