The Tuscola County Road Commission seeks to hire a qualified, professional engineering team to provide survey and design services, any necessary environmental permitting, and preparation of plans, specifications, and preliminary estimates of cost for the HMA Overlay and Signage Updates for Chambers Road from M-46 to Washburn Road. The project involves approximately 2.26 miles of 1.5-inch HMA overlay, shoulder aggregate, signage, and pavement marking upgrades. Consultants must have the appropriate MDOT Prequalification in Design Roadway. Unique design criteria for the project include special provisions for Sign, Type IIIA, Modified and Approach, Class II, Modified, as well as the use of limestone for limestone driveways and inclusion of 1-ft of topsoil along the edge of the shoulder. Bids must be submitted on Road Commission forms in plainly marked, sealed envelopes. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Any addenda must be noted and initialed. Interested bidders who download plans from the website must email the Road Commission to be added to the plan holders list to ensure receipt of addendums.
