Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to perform Sanitary Sewer - Section I improvements for Sanitary and Improvement District No. 385 of Sarpy County, Nebraska, according to the plans and specifications at the locations shown on the detailed drawings and specifications on file. The work consists essentially of the following approximate quantities: constructing 8" and 6" solid wall PVC sanitary sewer pipes (including variants with steel casing and depths over 15'), constructing 6" sanitary sewer service risers, 54" I.D. sanitary manholes (standard and over existing outfall sewer), installing external frame seals, constructing concrete manhole ring retainers, 8" sanitary sewer manhole taps, type B rip-rap, BX1100 geogrid, geotextile fabric, and foundation rock for trench stabilization. All proposals must be submitted on specified bid forms and accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for at least $68,250.00 as security, with a contract and maintenance bond required for 100% of the total contract price. Bid bonds must be executed by a licensed corporate surety. Proposals may not be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening. All proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed as specified and marked appropriately, with a separate sealed envelope for bid security attached. Proposals received late will be returned unopened. Contract award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the plans and specifications and as provided by law. Plans, specifications, and contract documents must be obtained from E & A Consulting Group, Inc., and a $50.00 non-refundable fee applies. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
