Site work and paving for a civil project in Greenville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The main purpose of the project is to improve the drainage system on roads and private properties to mitigate chronic flooding issues. This project is Phase 1 and consists of drainage improvements from structure S#1 to structure S#6 only. The work includes demolition/removal of trees, fences and pavement and the installation of new storm drainage lines and catch basins. Site stabilization shall include fine grading and grassing of all disturbed areas. The County shall provide staking for the new storm drainage system including alignments and elevations, therefore, a line item for construction staking is not included in the bid schedule. The project site is located on Botany Road off Arundel Road in the Botany Woods subdivision in Greenville, South Carolina. The project site occupies land on the County right of way and on private properties. The contractor shall take all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the public and prevent damage to County roads/infrastructure, utilities, and private property. Utility Protection The contractor is required to contact utility providers and coordinate the location of utility lines located in proximity to the project site, including but not limited to: gravity sewer main, sewer services, gas main, gas services, water main, water services, power lines, and communication cables. The contractor shall be responsible for any damage occurring to utility lines on the project site and shall be responsible for the required repairs at contractor's expense. 3.2. Miscellaneous Items The project includes but is not limited to the following miscellaneous items: o Contractor shall follow all Greenville County and SCDOT requirements. o Contractor shall ensure all proper notifications to county and residents before road closure. o Contractor is responsible for obtaining, maintaining and restoring the staging area. o Contractor shall provide a contained area for concrete truck washout, such as a plastic drum or child swimming pool, to be removed from the site at the end of the project. o Contractor shall notify each property owner prior to saw cutting driveway in order to move vehicles out. o Contractor shall backfill new pipes with select material and/or stone as instructed by the design engineer. 3.3. Erosion Control & Site Stabilization The project includes but is not limited to the following erosion control and site stabilization measures: o Silt fences during construction, as necessary o CB inlet protection during construction, as necessary o Class C riprap w/ geotextile fabric o Fine grading & grassing of all disturbed areas 3.4. Demolition/removal/disposal The project includes but is not limited to demolition/removal/disposal of the following: o Sections of the existing drainage system, as shown on the plans o Asphalt pavement and curbs, as shown on the plans o Concrete and asphalt driveways, as shown on the plans o Fences and gates, as shown on the plans o Selected trees and plant materials, as shown on the plans o Mailboxes, as necessary o Other demolition items as shown on the plans or as necessary to complete the project 3.5. Drainage System Improvements The project includes but is not limited to drainage system improvements consisting of the following: o +-19 LF of 18" dia. HPP o +-71 LF of 24" dia. HPP o +-126 LF of 30" dia. HPP o 2 each 2x3 curb inlets o 1 each 2x3 drop inlet o 1 each 5x5 yard inlet 3.6. Replacement/reinstallation The project includes but is not limited to replacement/reinstallation of the following: o Replace exist. 8" SS with DIP at crossings o Roadway asphalt o Extruded curbs o Concrete driveways o Chain link fences o Wood privacy fences o Gates o Mailboxes
