Bids shall be submitted for a single contract that will include heat pump replacement and a new dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) serving the northwest classroom wing of the Shenandoah K-8 School. Commencement of the Work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Shenandoah Community School District. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bids shall be submitted on forms issued by the architect per the instructions to bidders. Out-of-state bidders shall be prepared to submit an Out-of-State Contractor Bond to the Iowa Division of Labor in accordance with Chapter 91C of the Code of Iowa. DESCRIPTION Base Bid: Remo 'e the existing rooftop unit and exhaust fan. Install new rooftop DOAS unit along with connected electrical, controls, and ductwork. Insulate all existing and new supply ductwork connected to the new DOAS unit. Install new air terminals connected downstream of the DOAS unit. Alternate Bid No. 1: Replace the existing heat pumps shown on drawings and connected piping, piping accessories, ductwork. controls, and electrical components on the second floor. Replace the existing ceiling mounted air terminals with new on the second floor as shown on drawings. Replace existing 2x4 luminaires with LED on the second floor as shown on drawings. Alternate Bid No. 2: Replace the existing heat pumps shown on drawings and connected piping, piping accessories, ductwork. controls, and electrical components on the first floor. Replace the existing ceiling mounted air terminals with new shown on drawings on the first floor. Replace existing 2x4 luminaires with LED on the first floor as shown on drawings.
