Description

Site work for an industrial development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a 0-square-foot, 0-story below grade industrial development.

Work comprises general construction of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Solid Waste and Recycling Facility. Scope includes clearing, grubbing, peat removal, site grading, construction of roads and a public drop off area pad with the provision and placement of 40,800 tonnes of rockfill material, CN railway road crossing, Cell 1 access ramp construction, Landfill Cell 1 and leachate collection system, leachate pond, site office trailer, equipment building (design-build), and all associated electrical works. Contractors must coordinate works adjacent to the CN right of way in accordance with the Contractor’s CN Work Access Permit terms and conditions. Additional instructions involve construction activities such as shotrock and geogrid installation, installing cutoffs for landfill cell, leachate pond and equipment building, road surfacing after peat compression, shoulder widening and asphalt surfacing on PTH 10, rough grading of cells and ramps, landfill cell construction with leachate collection system and HDPE lined sump, construction of leachate pond with HDPE liners, erection of equipment building, office trailer, fencing, seeding, signage, and electrical works.
