Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and transportation facility.
RIPTA is looking to establish a comprehensive transit hub at Kingston Station to enhance bus facilities, passenger amenities, and connections between Amtrak rail service and RIPTA, bus, paratransit, and Flex On Demand service, as well as access to the William C. O’Neill Bike Path. The completed hub will support future improvements to RIPTA’s services to Kingston Station and ridership growth for both RIPTA and Amtrak. As of May 18, 2026, this project is in the conceptual phase. It has been paused until adjacent construction projects have been completed. No design firm has been selected and a firm timeline for construction has not been determined.
