Renovation of a detention facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The project requires furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor to completely replace two existing Hermetic Natural Gas Boosters installed in the late 1980s. Work includes removing the existing boosters; installing new gas boosters with new isolation valves; providing new variable frequency drives (VFDs) for each booster that modulate based on gas demand; integrating the new VFDs into the existing Building Automation System; and providing new electrical supply for each booster. The two boosters operate in tandem and rotate on a manual schedule and will be replaced in full under this requirement. The performance period for completion is 235 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Location: Metropolitan Correctional Center Chicago, 71 W.
