Sealed proposals are requested for the fabrication and delivery of Steel H-Pile, Steel Sheet Pile, Sub-Structure Steel, Precast Concrete Slab Superstructure, and Bridge Guardrail for a 28’-0” long by 28’-4” wide roadway bridge in Knox County, Nebraska, identified as the “Material for Santee South Bridge Project.” The proposals are for the supply of bridge material delivered to the jobsite, to be combined as an aggregate bid for the project. Knox County will be responsible for removal of the existing 96-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe, construction of the proposed bridge, and the dirt work/grading operations. All proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the County Highway Superintendent and must be accompanied by bid security of no less than 5% of the amount bid. The bid security should be made payable to the County Clerk of Knox County and will be retained as liquidated damages if the successful bidder does not enter into contract or furnish the required bond. The County Supervisors reserve the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to select bids that, in their opinion, best serve the interests of Knox County, or to reject any or all bids.
