Reference Number 0000412073 The total length of Town -owned Kiowa -Bennett Road is approximately 3.45 miles, excluding Interstate 70 bridge, ramp, and approaches. The Town length of Kiowa -Bennett Road features 85 percent two - lane roadway, with some auxiliary lanes present to serve the Town's Antelope Hills Subdivision development. The Kiowa -Bennett Road roadway structure sees significant traffic loading, including freight, and is showing distress via lateral and longitudinal cracking, rutting, edge ravelling, heaving and settlement areas through 28 years of Town ownership and maintenance. This reconstruction project is intended to improve the roadway condition for smoothness, pavement and shoulder integrity and strength, visibility, and safety. This Project is locally funded by the Town of Bennett. All work is confined to Town -owned right -of-way. No CDOT or County-owned facilities are included. No right -of-way acquisition is required. Lane configurations for this reconstruction are expected to remain the same as current conditions. The intent is to develop complete, bid -ready construction documents.
