Bids are invited for the construction of drainage improvements on Leovy Avenue adjacent to the elementary school. The work includes pavement removal, installation of 8" N-12 drainage pipe with reinforced concrete drainage structures, and pavement restoration. The work will be scheduled to begin the Monday following completion of the school year and must be completed within 30 calendar days. All submittals must be provided, reviewed, and materials available for beginning construction on the stated start date. All bids must be addressed to the City of Pass Christian and specify the name of the bid item. Bidders must include a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bidders must indicate their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed proposal and possess a current commercial contractor's license in the correct classification. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to bid and to seek subcontracting opportunities. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses and women business enterprises. Non-resident bidders must attach a copy of their resident state's laws regarding the treatment of non-resident contractors.
