Installation of a Septic System at the Road & Bridge Compound in Clewiston, FL. The scope of work for this quote is as follows: 1. Obtain permit(s) for removal of exiting onsite sewage treatment and disposal system and installation of a new onsite sewage treatment and disposal system. 2. Remove and properly dispose of the existing septic tank and drain field, and install a new 1,200 gallon septic tank, sampling port, 600 gallon pump tank, and drain field in accordance with the plans prepared by Apogee Design and signed and sealed by Ronald Schlegel, P.E. of Florida Gulf Engineering, Inc. on January 27, 2026. The new septic system shall be installed in accordance to the State Department of Environmental Protection Site Evaluation and System Specifications Permit with the revision date of January 23, 2026 that was signed and sealed by Ronald Schlegel, P.E. on January 27, 2026. 3. Run electrical for pump and alarm and tie into existing building. 4. Entire mound including slopes, shoulders, and soil cap shall be stabilized and covered by sod. 5. The Contractor is responsible for any and all damage to the property that occurs as a result of the activities. 6. Quote shall include all equipment, personnel, and mobilization/demobilization costs. 7. Quote will be given as a lump sum with a time frame as to when the required work can be completed. 8. Unless prohibited by Federal or State grant restriction, Hendry County may grant a ten (10) percent purchase preference for local vendors and business as authorized in Section 1-2-184 of the Hendry County Code of Ordinances. 9. The successful Contractor shall have and maintain throughout the duration of the Contract Commercial General Liability (CGL) Insurance with limits of at least $300,000 each person/each occurrence. If such CGL insurance contains a general aggregate limit, it shall apply separately to this location/project in the amount of at least $600,000. Products and completed operations aggregate shall be no less than $600,000. CGL insurance shall be written on an occurrence form and shall include bodily injury and property damage liability for premises, operations, independent contractors, products and completed operations, contractual liability, broad form property damage and property damage resulting from explosion, collapse or underground (x,c,u) exposures, personal injury and advertising injury. Contractor's CGL insurance shall be primary with respect to the County, and contribution may not be sought from any insurance held by the County. 10. The successful Contractor shall have and maintain throughout the duration of the Contract Business Automobile Liability Insurance with limits of at least $1,000,000 each person/each accident for bodily injury and property damage liability arising out of any auto (including owned, hired and non-owned autos). Contractual liability coverage shall be provided. Contractor's Business Automobile Liability insurance shall be primary with respect to the County, and contribution may not be sought from any insurance held by the County. 11. The successful Contractor shall have and maintain throughout the duration of the Contract Worker's Compensation Insurance in accordance with State law and Employer's Liability coverage with a limit of at least $1,000,000 each accident, $500,000 each employee, and $500,000 policy limit for disease. In case any work is subcontracted, Contractor shall require each subcontractor similarly to provide Worker's Compensation Insurance for all of the latter's employees unless such employees are covered by the protection afforded by Contractor. 12. All insurance policies shall be with insurers licensed or eligible to do business in the State of Florida. Hendry County must be named as an additional insured on all policies except Workers' Compensation. Contractor must provide valid certificates of insurance to the County for all policies. Contractor will be required to provide the County, as an additional insured, with thirty (30) days' written notice prior to the cancellation, modification or non-renewal of the policies.
