Renovation of a library in Antioch, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Sealed bids are invited for the Elevator Upgrade project at the Antioch Public Library District. Lump Sum bid proposals are required and each must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Antioch Public Library. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening without owner consent. Unsuccessful Bidder checks will be returned after the bid opening. The successful Bidder will need to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full contract amount, subject to owner approval. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope, clearly marked as SEALED BID and addressed appropriately. The Board of Trustees may reject any or all bids, parts thereof, or waive irregularities or informalities. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. All Bidders must complete the qualification process as described in Section 004395 - General Requirements, and supply the necessary Qualification Documents with the sealed bid, which will be publicly reviewed. Qualification Documents will be reviewed to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. Bidding documents are available electronically at bidder's expense from Cross Rhodes Reprographics. All general contractor bidders are required to visit the site during the bid period; attendance at the pre-bid meeting qualifies as the mandatory site visit. Contractors missing the pre-bid meeting must schedule and sign in for a separate site visit. Failure to conduct a site visit and sign in will result in bid rejection.
