The purpose of this project is to mitigate on-airport obstructions to the approaches to Runway 7 & 25 at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome, GA. This project generally consists of tree/shrub clearing using non-ground disturbing measures, off-site disposal of related waste materials, and site restoration of the project limits. The purpose of this project is to mitigate on-airport obstructions to the approaches to Runway 7 & 25 at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome, GA. The proposed removals consist of an assortment of groupings of trees/shrubs to isolated trees/shrubs. The project area for the Runway 7 approach encompasses approximately 7 acres with most of the trees/shrubs of interest being located within 100 feet of and along the airport property line perimeter. The project area for the Runway 25 approach encompasses approximately 20 acres with most of the trees/shrubs of interest being evenly distributed throughout the project area. This project generally consists of tree/shrub clearing using non-ground disturbing measures, off-site disposal of related waste materials, and site restoration of the project limits.
