Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in De Soto, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work includes installation of a concrete sidewalk, curbs and gutters, sidewalk ramps, and storm sewer installation. The bid tab has two areas: most of the sidewalk will be funded with a CDBG grant, and the remainder comes from De Soto general funds. Davis-Bacon requirements apply to the entire project. Bids must be for a total bid package and total contract price. Instructions to bidders: Proposals will be received by the City of De Soto at De Soto City Hall until the deadline for the construction of the Lexington Avenue Sidewalk. Proposals will be held in strict confidence and not opened or evaluated until the proposal deadline has passed. Bidders will be notified of the results within fourteen days of the bid deadline. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. No pre-bid or bid opening conference will be held. Email bids to bweisenburger@desotoks.us or submit paper copies in a sealed envelope labeled for the project. Plans and specifications may be viewed or purchased online or at Drexel Technologies. No bid bond is required. All bidders must verify inclusion of all written addenda in their bids—no clarifications or exceptions will be allowed. Bids received after the specified deadline will not be considered.
