Renovation of a parking garage in Markham, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Where directed by the Consultant, repair distressed concrete by removal of unsound, spalling, and delaminated concrete and placing new concrete in repair locations. Contractor to determine the extent of unsound or deteriorated damaged concrete repair locations on all exposed concrete surfaces by means of hammer tap sounding survey and visual review. Contractor to clearly mark all such locations for consultant’s review. Notify the Consultant for review and approval of the identification of unsound, spalling, and delaminated concrete prior to removal. If corroded reinforcing steel is encountered, clean and coat exposed reinforcing steel with bonding agent. Remove and reinstate wall mounted pipe railings, signage, integral metal clad wall bollards and light posts stands including anchor connections affected by the work. Replace existing threaded bolt anchors at rails and light stand posts with new stainless steel threaded bolt anchors where rails, signage and posts are reinstalled including installing new fasteners at signage where reinstalling. Contractor to allow for off-site storage of these items as there is not storage on site.
