Sealed bids will be accepted at 8701 Mackenzie Road, Affton, MO 63123 until 1:30 P.M. on the specified date. All bids received in proper order will be opened and recorded. Affton school district is seeking a qualified contractor to complete 14 interior classroom improvements at Gotsch Intermediate School. Work will include the demolition of learning walls, chalkboards, marker boards and storage cabinets, sinks, bases and back splash and electrical components. Contractor will be responsible for the installation of new sink and faucets, learning walls, lighting, patching and painting and new electrical outlets. Work by the contractor includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete all work per this bid specification and plans. It is intended that the contractor shall provide a working installation complete in every detail and all items necessary for such complete installation shall be furnished whether specifically mentioned or not. All work to be performed in a thorough and professional manner by mechanics skilled in their respective trades, using materials specified, or materials approved by the school district as equal in quality, capacity, and performance to those specified. All work will meet all requirements, codes, and regulations of the highest governing body whether it is St. Louis County, the State of Missouri, or the Federal Government, Boca, NFPA, local Fire Department, or any other governing body. If the District is unexpectedly closed on the scheduled bid opening date due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the bid opening will automatically occur on the next working day at 11:00 a.m. Central Time.
