Site work for a water / sewer project in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000412352 Work includes the replacement of equipment, structural items, and other miscellaneous improvements in the Headworks building at the Marcy Gulch WWTP. Many of these items have reached the end of their useful life and require full replacement. The individual tasks are described herein: - Modifications to the existing grit basin upper diameter to promote better grit removal efficiency. - Replacement of mechanical grit equipment including blowers, valves, and piping. - Replacement of existing pipes and reconfiguration of piping in pump pit to accommodate three two new rotary lobe pumps in place of two existing pumps. Addition of a third pump is to accomplish mixing by recirculation. Addition of a recirculation line with mixing nozzles in the sludge wet pit. - Full replacement and upgrade of the existing hydronic system used for building heat. - Removal and replacement in-kind of the existing ventilation fans in the old chemical storage room. - Removal of existing support beams and grating and replacement with new in the area of the demolished fine screens. Addition of new grating where screens were located to fully deck this area. - Replacement and strengthening of select grating sections to allow forklift travel over certain channels. - Removal and replacement of the stairs to the TWAS pump pit. - Removal and replacement of the existing monorail with a new monorail and hoist rated for the new TWAS pumps. - Removal and replacement of the roof membrane and all appurtenances on the south half of the building. - Removal and replacement of the north roll up door with a new electrified door. - Repainting of interior architectural finishes (floor, walls, ceiling). - Replacement of all existing overhead fixtures with LED fixtures. Two fixtures over the sludge wet pit will be relocated. Additional fixtures will be added around the DAFTs.
