The project includes but is not limited to the following work: Part A - Bennetts Creek Crossing: - 400 linear feet of 6-inch I.D. directional bore water main - 100 linear feet of 6-inch diameter SDR 21 water main with bell restraints - 1900 linear feet of 6-inch diameter PVC SFR21 water main - 4 each 6-inch diameter gate valves with box - Testing, sterilization, and reconnection to existing utilities - Miscellaneous erosion control measures and seeding/mulching Part B - Carters Road Direction Bore: - 280 linear feet of 6-inch I.D. directional bore water main - 120 linear feet of 6-inch diameter SDR 21 water main with bell restraints - 40 linear feet of 6-inch diameter PVC SDR 21 water main - 2 each 6-inch diameter gate valves with box - Testing, sterilization, and reconnection to existing utilities - 440 linear feet of abandon existing 6-inch diameter water main with flowable fill - Miscellaneous erosion control measures and seeding/mulching Part C - Gatesville Transmission Main: - 17,650 linear feet 12-inch PVC SDR 21 water main - 230 linear feet 12-inch ductile iron water main - 130 linear feet 12-inch I.D. directional bore - 110 linear feet 24-inch steel casing (bore and jack) - 14 each 12-inch gate valve with box - 4 each 6-inch gate valve with box - 3 each fire hydrant - Testing, sterilization, and connecting to existing utilities - Miscellaneous erosion control measures and seeding/mulching Part D - Highway 158 Water System Improvements: - 850 linear feet of 12-inch I.D. directional bore water main - 120 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC SDR 21 water main with bell restraints - 5,760 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC SDR 21 water main - 7 each 12-inch diameter gate valve with box - 5 each 6-inch diameter gate valve with box - Test, sterilization, and reconnection to existing utilities - Miscellaneous erosion control measures and seeding/mulching Bidders shall be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina. Small, minority, and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The Owner has developed a goal of 10% for participation of minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises in construction contracts awarded pursuant to NCGS 143-128. Bidders must comply with the Owner's requirements for W/MBE documentation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award both parts, either part, or neither part of this project.
