The City of Surrey is seeking quotations from professional landscape maintenance firms to provide a fixed price for grass cutting services at South Surrey sites, specifically covering boulevards, medians, traffic islands, and walkways. The contractor is required to provide all necessary labour, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, parts, transportation, and management for complete grass cutting maintenance. Grass cutting is to be performed to ensure a smooth surface appearance without scalping, maintaining mowing heights between and 2 (with 1 as normal). Grass clippings may remain on the lawn, but clumps should be spread out. The contractor must also clean up walkways and roadways during each service visit, including the removal of all trash, unauthorized signs, broken glass, bottles, cans, papers, and other debris from grass areas, adjacent shrub beds, walkways, and roadways. Accumulations of grass clippings, leaves, and waste from surrounding paved areas must be swept up and disposed of at an approved facility. Areas with evidence of chafer beetle and/or weeds are to be line trimmed and maintained to City standards.
