Questions received less than two (2) days prior to the date for opening bids will not be answered. Sealed bids will be received for the Football Field Lighting Replacement Project at Maine South High School, 1111 S Dee Rd, Park Ridge, IL 60018. Bidders must provide bid security of ten percent (10%) of the lump sum Base Bid price, which may be submitted as a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner. Bidding contractors must perform at least fifty percent (50%) of the proposed work with their directly employed force. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid, with sureties approved by the owner, and provide sufficient insurance to indemnify the Owner, Engineer, and Engineer's Consultant(s) against all claims for damages due to negligence during construction until final acceptance by the Owner. The lump sum price must be based on no less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and comply with Illinois Equal Employment Opportunity laws. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, waive irregularities or informalities, and award the contract to the bidder that best serves the interests of the Owner.
