Site work for a water / sewer project in Charlestown, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the upgrade of seven substandard on-site wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) under Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management "Repair" applications, with the installation of FujiClean USA CEN Model OWTS within the Critically Impacted Coastal Watersheds of Southern Rhode Island, including the Green Hill, Ninigret, and Quonochontaug Pond Watersheds within the Town of Charlestown. The awarded contractor must be a full-service contractor, licensed in the State of Rhode Island, for the professional design, permitting, vending, installation, startup, and operation and maintenance service of the installed OWTS. The project consists of grant funded cost sharing with each individual selected property owner. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "CHARLESTOWN SEPTIC SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE MODERNIZATION PROGRAM" in the lower left-hand corner. The bid award shall be made by the evaluated method and be based on cost, experience of the bidder, ability to complete the work in a timely manner, professional reputation of the bidder, and other relevant criteria as determined by the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid which it deems to be in the best interest of the Town.
