Renovation of an educational facility in Paw Paw, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of the removal, replacement, modification, and installation of drinking fountains and bottle filling stations across multiple District buildings. All hardware must meet NSF/ANSI standard 53 for lead reduction and standard 42 for particulate removal. All work must be completed by June 15, 2026. All work must be performed in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable regulations. All laborers and mechanics employed on this project must be paid not less than the prevailing wages and fringe benefits as specified in the applicable wage determination issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. Bids must be submitted in duplicate (2 copies). BIDS THAT ARE FAXED, EMAILED, OR UPLOADED DIGITALLY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Each Bid must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement completed by the Bidder disclosing any familial relationship between the owner or any employee of the Bidder and any member of the District's Board of Education or the Superintendent of the District. Bidders must also certify that they are not an Iran-linked business. Bidders shall be a reputable, recognized organization with at least five years' successful experience on work of this type and scope, have a license where required, and have ample financial resources for work of this magnitude. Bid security or a Bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Bid amount is required. Performance and Payment Bonds for all contracts exceeding $50,000, from a surety company having a rating of A- or better, are required. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the District. Scope of Work Overview The selected vendor shall provide all labor, materials, permits, and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work outlined in Section 2 and produce a complete, turnkey solution. - Demolition & Installation: Removal of existing units and installation of new legally compliant units. - Restoration: Installation of stainless steel cover plates, trim, panels, etc are required wherever removed units leave exposed wall openings, paint variations, or mounting holes that are not covered by the new unit's footprint for a clean and acceptable final appearance, as determined in Owner's sole discretion. - Plumbing & Electrical: Contractor is responsible for all plumbing modifications and connecting to existing 120v electrical service. Note: If existing electrical service at a location is found to be insufficient, the Owner (PPPS) will be responsible for coordinating and funding the necessary electrical upgrades. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening. - MS-C: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening. B. PAW PAW MIDDLE SCHOOL-Falan Field (313 West Michigan Ave) - MS-Falan-D: Replace (Outdoor - 4 down to 2). Remove the existing bank of four (4) fountains. Install one (1) Bi-Level Double (2-Station) Outdoor-Rated Bottle Filling Station/Fountain combination. -Specification Note: Unit must be freeze-resistant and designed for easy winterization (e.g., accessible gravity drain or quick-disconnect fittings). - Restoration: Contractor must patch the mounting surface where the removed units leave exposed holes, or provide a custom cover plate to span the previous footprint. - MS-Falan-E: Remove. Remove exterior unit completely. Cap utilities below grade or inside building chase to prevent freezing dead-legs. Patch wall with outdoor quality materials. C. LATER ELEMENTARY (612 West North St) - LE-A: Modify (Add BF). Existing Elkay unit to remain. Retrofit with Bottle Filling Station attachment on Hi unit, creating two Bottle Filling stations at this location. - LE-B: Replace (Hi-Lo, 2x WC & 2x BF). Remove existing Hi-Lo unit. Install new Bi-Level Water Cooler with TWO (2) Bottle Filling Stations (one per level). Note: This requires a dual-filler configuration. D. EARLY ELEMENTARY (512 West North St) - EE-A: Replace (BF + WC). Remove existing unit. Install single level Bottle Filling Station with Water Cooler. - EE-B: Replace & Add (Hi-Lo, 2x WC & 2x BF). Remove existing single unit. Modify plumbing to install new Bi-Level Water Cooler with TWO (2) Bottle Filling Stations. Note: This requires a dual-filler configuration. - EE-C: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening E. CEDAR STREET COMMUNITY CENTER (555 Cedar St) - CS-A: Replace (BF + WC). Remove existing unit. Install single level Bottle Filling Station with Water Cooler. -CS-B: Replace (BF + WC). Remove existing unit. Install single level Bottle Filling Station with Water Cooler. F. PAW PAW HIGH SCHOOL (30609 Red Arrow Hwy) - HS-A: Replace (Single Low WC). Remove existing unit. Install Single Low-Height Water Cooler(bottle filler not necessary but filtering still is). - HS-B: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening. -HS-C+D: Replace (Hi-Lo, 1x BF + 2x WC). Remove existing units. Install Bi-Level Water Cooler with ONE (1) Bottle Filling Station. - HS-E+F: Replace (Hi-Lo, 1x BF + 2x WC). Remove existing units. Install Bi-Level Water Cooler with ONE (1) Bottle Filling Station. - HS-G+H: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening. - HS-I+J: Replace (Hi-Lo, 1x BF + 2x WC). Remove existing units. Install Bi-Level Water Cooler with ONE (1) Bottle Filling Station. - HS-K: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening. - HS-L: Replace (Single High BF + WC). Remove both existing units. Install single level Bottle Filling Station with Water Cooler. Note: Use Stainless Steel plate to cover footprint of removed second unit. - HS-M: Replace (Single Low BF + WC). Remove both existing units. Install single low level Bottle Filling Station with Water Cooler. Note: Use Stainless Steel plate to cover footprint of removed second unit. - HS-N: Remove. Remove unit completely. Cap utilities inside wall cavity. Install Stainless Steel blank plate to cover alcove/wall opening.
