Site work for a water / sewer project in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a 6,000-square-foot water / sewer project.
All necessary earthwork, labor, materials, and equipment for the repair of the spillway, including approximately 600 square feet of surface repair and 6,000 square feet of deep scour and erosion repair, as depicted in the Drawings. Sealed proposals are required, clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as "Sealed Proposal for Contract 562-26-01. Not to be opened until 10:00 am, local time, Friday, March 6, 2026." If mailed, the sealed envelope must be enclosed in another envelope, allowing sufficient time to reach the specified address prior to the closing time for receipt of proposals. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Hopkinsville Surface and Stormwater Utility, Kentucky, in an amount not less than the percent of the base bid indicated in Specification Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders Bid Security. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened, though withdrawal is permitted any time before the scheduled opening. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. Work is subject to the minimum wage rates established by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act. A federal wage rate determination will be incorporated into the Specifications by addendum if applicable. Preference may be given to Local Firms, defined as businesses with their principal place of business in Hopkinsville and/or Christian County, and which pay a majority of their payroll to residents of these areas. Local preference requires documentation of compliance at the time of bid submission. Bids not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions may be considered informal, and the right is reserved to waive informalities or reject any or all bids.
