Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clearwater, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
The Pinellas County School District is soliciting sealed electronic bids for Theater Lighting Renovations at three locations. Registered suppliers who obtain documents from the portal will receive automatic updates regarding addenda and answers to posted questions. Bidders who obtain solicitation documents from other sources are responsible for ensuring they receive all addenda. The procurement process requires all bidders to download bid documents from the specified portal to receive notifications of any issued addenda. The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, is the project owner, and terminology referring to OWNER, BOARD, SCHOOL BOARD, or PINELLAS COUNTY SCHOOLS is used interchangeably. The Scope of Work to be performed under this project consists of furnishing of all labor/ materials and performing all work necessary to the completion of : 1. Disconnect and removal of existing theatrical lighting system components included light fixtures, wiring, control equipment, and wiring devices. 2. Provide, install, and program a new theatrical lighting system. Provide a complete functional system with initial setup and programming. 3. Provide and install completely, new video projection system to include motorized roll down rear projection screen, projector, input ports, digital media switching and controls, and interface with existing theater audio system. 4. Provide, install, and program a new HOUSE lighting control system. Provide a complete functional control system with initial setup and programming. 5. Contractor to provide contextual training based on knowledge level and system functionality. System set up and training should leave the end user with the ability to operate the system for a basic event. Template shows file with system patch, submaster for house lights and a simple stage wash, and a magic sheet plot showing intensity and color. Training duration shall be a minimum of 8 hours. Contractor shall video record the training session and provide the recording as part of the close out process. 6. Contractor responsible for patching and painting areas that are damaged or become inconsistent due to demolition or installation of equipment or wiring. 7. All work shall conform to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, Department of Education State Requirements for Educational Facilities, N.F.P.A. Standards, UL Standards, National Electric Code (N.F.P.A. 70), EIA/TIA Standards, OSHA Standards, and other standards listed in these specifications. 8. Contractor shall supply all close out documents applicable to the project as listed on the "Project Closeout Checklist" attached at the end of this section. It is mandatory that contractors bidding as prime contractors on projects for Pinellas County Schools be currently qualified on the date of opening of bids as a Florida Licensed (type of license) EC or ES. Contractor by providing a copy of their contractor's license with their bid. All work described in this bid document and drawings prepared by MPS Engineering Inc. The three Schools designated for Theater Lighting renovations are listed below: Boca Ciega High School, 924 58th St. S, Gulfport Florida 33707 East Lake High School, 1300 Silver Eagle Drive, Tarpon Springs Florida 34688 Palm Harbor University High School, 1900 Omaha St., Palm Harbor Florida 34683 The Contract Period shall commence on TBA, and end The length of the contract shall be from the date of the Notice to Proceed to July 31, 2026, but not to exceed 120 days. Prices and discounts shall remain firm for this period and shall include ALL freight and handling charges. For the purposes of calculating the amount of a protest bond, this contract is valued at approximately 3 High School Locations total 1,680,000.00, excluding renewal options. This is only an estimate and the actual amount could vary up or down. The District will not be held responsible if actual purchases are less than this amount.
