Renovation of a municipal facility in St Catharines, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Densification of the CRA's footprint at the identified site to the second floor, replacement of existing workstation furniture, implementation of improved collaborative area elements, and enhancement of flow on the second floor to align with GCworkplace standards. The work must comply with relevant codes (NBC, OBC, CSA B651, fire code). The area requires refreshed paint and replacement of 20-year old carpet. The design consultant or PSPC Technical Services is to be engaged to complete block plans and tender-ready design drawings and specifications for CRA review and approval, which should include details on any architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, or heritage requirements for modifications meeting Canada Revenue Agency Fit-up Standards. Block plans are to be based on 66% drawings from a feasibility study. Structural and MEP assessments are required before design finalization. A heritage-sensitive design is required. HVAC heating and cooling capacity assessment, heat load calculation, update of air distribution layout, and update of control systems are all required. A Class A estimate is to be provided based on the approved design drawings. TIMELINE: An RFP for design has closed. Design is scheduled to be completed by August 28, 2026. Updates will be made upon award of contract.
