Description

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Nettleton, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Proposals are requested from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for a multiphase Park Improvements project, potentially funded by Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, HUD - Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities, Appalachian Regional Commission, USDA, or other federal/state agencies. The scope of work includes preparation of a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report; if awarded, further tasks include preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation, assisting with execution of construction contracts, holding a preconstruction conference, performing construction inspection with periodic reports, and approving all payment requests. All engineering services must comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal for Engineering Services” and will be evaluated based on Qualifications (40 points), Experience (40 points), and Capacity for Performance (20 points). The City encourages proposals from Minority owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses.
