Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Eastpoint, Florida. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of the demolition and replacement of a wooded dune walkover located at 8th Street East, St. George Island, and parking improvements to prevent forward encroachment onto the dunes. The replacement 8th Street East dune walkover (DEP Monument R-90 and R-91) is a 6-foot wide by 173 feet long wood pile-supported structure. Parking improvements include re-grading the existing material, adding gravel, installing post and rope fencing, relocating the existing signs and trash receptacles, and installing wheel stops. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the company name, address, and “BID – 8th Street East Dune Walkover” on the outside, and include the original bid. All bids shall remain firm for sixty (60) days after opening. All bidders must comply with State and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulation. Bid security of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid is required, submitted either as a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond and must begin execution of the contract within five days of the Notice to Proceed. The work shall be substantially complete within forty-five (45) calendar days and fully complete within sixty (60) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the walkover within the specified 60 days will be set at $100.00 per day.
