Question Deadline 02/23/2026 at 12:00 AM CT PROJECT SCOPE The District is seeking proposals for the replacement of one (1) existing rooftop unit (RTU) at a Harlem Elementary 3333 I-10 Frontage, Baytown, TX 77521. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work and all applicable requirements contained in this CSP. The successful vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to complete the following: The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following: 1. Pre-Construction Activities o Conduct a site visit to verify existing conditions, measurements, access, and utility connections. o Review existing HVAC system specifications and coordinate with school district representatives. o Identify any potential issues or constraints that may impact installation. 2. Removal of Existing Equipment o Safely disconnect, remove, and properly dispose of the existing rooftop HVAC unit in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. o Protect the building, roof surface, and surrounding areas during removal. 3. Installation of New Rooftop Unit o Furnish and install a new HVAC rooftop unit of appropriate capacity and efficiency to meet the building’s requirements. o Install all necessary curbs, supports, duct connections, electrical connections, gas connections (if applicable), and controls. o Ensure the unit is installed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes. 4. Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls Integration o Coordinate and complete all required electrical, mechanical, and control system connections. o Integrate the new unit with existing building automation or control systems, if applicable. o Test all safety controls and operating sequences. 5. Testing, Start-Up, and Commissioning o Start up the new unit and perform operational testing. o Verify proper airflow, heating, cooling, and control functionality.o Address and correct any deficiencies identified during testing. 6. Permits, Inspections, and Code Compliance o Obtain all required permits and schedule necessary inspections. o Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, and regulations. 7. Project Close-Out o Provide as-built documentation, equipment manuals, warranties, and maintenance instructions. o Provide basic training to designated school staff on operation and routine maintenance of the new unit. o Remove all debris and leave the work area clean and secure. Project Constraints • Work shall be coordinated to minimize disruption to school operations. • Contractor shall comply with all school district safety and access requirements. • Any work impacting occupied areas must be scheduled and approved in advance.
