Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Clinton, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Scope Calloway County is placing abutments under the bridge that is currently at the location on Grubbs Road and also construct a bridge to be placed on abutments. The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposal of old structure, and building abutments under the structure and will make sure it is within compliance with KYTC Bridge Standards. The contractor will also work with WKRECC in making sure that telephone poles are moved, if needed, for construction. The contractor will also be responsible for securing the land needed for any work to be done outside of Calloway Countys right of way. The work will need to be done in a timely manner and done with the understand that when completed the bridge needs to be able to accommodate the states school bus regulation of 18 tons. Contractor is responsible for road close signage. The County reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, most responsible and responsive bid, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, to waive any technical non-compliance or to accept any bid as may be deemed in the best interest of the County, in its sole and unfettered discretion.
