The work includes the milling and resurfacing of Aurora Avenue from Anderson Avenue to the Ridgefield Borough limits. It also includes the reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks, driveways, upgrading noncompliant ADA curb ramps, construction of speed table, and installation of regulatory and warning signs. For the alternate bid, the work extends within the Borough of Ridgefield from the Ridgefield Borough limits to Bergen Boulevard, and includes milling and resurfacing, reconstruction of curbs and sidewalks, and upgrading noncompliant ADA curb ramps. Principal items in the project include HMA milling, hot mix asphalt surface course, concrete sidewalk, and concrete vertical curb. Bids must be made on prescribed forms and accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit, ownership statement, Consent of Surety, and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent of the amount bid (not to exceed $20,000.00). The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount, as well as required insurance certificates. Bidders are required to comply with New Jersey statutes regarding equal employment opportunity and disclosure of partners and stockholders, and must comply with prevailing wage rates. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope labeled for the project. All bids shall be irrevocable and stand available for a period of sixty days.
