Renovation of an educational facility in Castleton on Hudson, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Furnish labor and materials for the following contract: Contracts: General Construction. Work involves, but is not limited to replacement of original electrical service and switchgear. Work will involve new primary service from the street including a pad mounted transformer and the enlargement of the Electrical room (to include but not limited to, masonry infill, GWB walls, man door, ACT ceilings, and painting). Divisions 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 31, and 32 by General Contractor. Divisions 26 and 28 by Electrical Contractor. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the Schodack Central School District, in accordance with the instructions to bidders, for a sum equal to 5% of the base bid amount. A bidder may submit a certified check in lieu of a bid bond. A performance bond and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder, each bond for the full amount of the contract price in accordance with the contract documents. If a bidder fails to execute the agreement in the contract documents or to furnish the required performance bond and payment bond within fifteen (15) days from the date on which they are notified that their bid has been accepted, their check or bid bond and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Owner Schodack Central School District. No bid will be considered unless received at the specified time, date, and address, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Any bid may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid opening time or any publicized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date stated above will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for 45 days after the bid opening. Successful bidders will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The Owner is a New York State Governmental entity and is exempt from payment of Federal Excise Tax, Sales, and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and of cities, counties, and other subdivisions of the State. No sales tax is to be paid on labor and materials incorporated in the work. Verbal questions will not be entertained. Bids will be evaluated in general conformance with the criteria presented in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which it deems to be in its best interest. The right is reserved by the Owner to revise or amend the contract documents prior to the date set for the opening of bids. Such revisions or amendments will be announced to the prospective bidders by addenda to the contract documents. Receipt of addenda, if issued, shall be acknowledged on the bid form. Document notes : Hard copies are produced upon receipt of deposit and may not be immediately available. Deposits are refundable to those plan holders returning a complete set of documents in unmarked and undamaged condition to Camelot Print & Copy Centers, 630 Columbia Street Ext, Latham, NY 12110, within ten (10) business days of bid opening.
