The project is expected to be awarded on June 10th 2026** Wyly Theatre Elevator Modernization Project Phase I The City of Dallas through its Office of Bond and Construction Management is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified and established firms to provide elevator modernization services for all four elevators at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Question Deadline 03/05/2026 at 5:00 PM CT The Council of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Phase 1 to Modernize Elevators Numbers 1 through 4 at the Wyly Theatre. Three (3) elevators must remain in service and be fully operational at all times. The modernization aims to ensure compliance with current codes, enhance performance, and improve safety. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to providing labor, tools, supervision, materials and equipment required to modernize the existing elevator systems and ensure compliance with Texas Accessibility Standards and local and state regulatory requirements. Please note that Phase I only includes modernization work to be done below grade and not exposed to the open air. In addition, the Wyly Theatre team plans on awarding a contract to enclose the elevators in late 2026 (Attachment Z). Phase II will commence upon completion of both the enclosure project and Phase I.
