Approximately 18,000 gallons of sodium hypochlorite at a 12.5% concentration are required, meeting A.W.W.A. B300, NSF/ANSI Standard #60, and all applicable regulations, in approved totes. The breakdown includes 8,000 gallons for the Wastewater Plant at 1900 Willow Creek Road, Escanaba, MI, and 10,000 gallons for the Water Plant at 1 Water Plant Road, Escanaba, MI. No bids will be considered unless the proposal form and/or specifications furnished by the City of Escanaba are properly completed and enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked as specified. Proposals must include a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bidder’s Bond, payable to the City of Escanaba in an amount not less than 10% of the bid as a guarantee. Failure to fulfill proposal conditions will result in forfeiture of the deposit as liquidated damages. The City of Escanaba reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and negotiate directly with bidders. The City may also split bids at its discretion.
