The work consists primarily of electrical and plumbing inspections of existing conditions for an Owner installed sewer grinder station, installation of the electrical and plumbing connections for a grinder station, and closure of septic tanks and containers. Sealed proposals will be received for furnishing all labor and materials, and performing all work for constructing GOMESA Grinder Cleanups (Project No. 448937). Bidders must submit all necessary documents with their bid in order for it to be considered. Any properly licensed company wishing to submit a bid must email a request to become an official plan holder. Only official plan holders may submit a bid. An envelope containing bids must be sealed, marked, addressed appropriately, and include the Bidder's Alabama State Contractor's License Number.SUMMARY OF THE WORK: A. Location: This project is located along any part of the Owner's territory where an existing sewer main is located. There is no guarantee that the work orders will be in the same area. B. Description of Work: It is the intent of the project to assist the Owner with the installation of an operational grinder station for each qualifying home along the new force main route. This work includes the following: 1. Review the list of homes that have signed the Owner's agreement for a new grinder station located within the appendix. 2. Schedule a visit with the homeowner to perform both the electrical and plumbing inspection simultaneously. 3. Complete the inspection form located in the appendix noting all items that will need to be completed along with their costs to meet code for the sewer grinder station installation. The licensed electrician and licensed plumber shall together select the best location for the installation of the grinder station. 4. Provide the completed inspection form to the Engineer. 5. A work order listing for the list of homesthat are approved to receive a grinder station and the items approved for completion will be issued. 6. Obtain all necessary County permitting required to perform the electrical and plumbing connections. 7. Install the required electrical itemsincluding a new breaker or a new sub panelwhere required for the sewer grinder pump in the existing electrical panel and connect to the Owner installed pump panel. 8. Once the pump has been set by the Owner, a work order for the installation of the plumbing piping and connection to the home and the wetwell to allow for operation of the grinder pumps will be issued. 9. Install erosion control, maintain and remove as necessary. This is a subsidiary obligation of the unit prices bid. 10. Obtain the Mobile County Health Department permit and complete the closure of the septic tank or container at each property once the grinder station is operational in accordance with MCHD requirementsProvide a list of closed septic tanks to the Engineer. 12.
