The work generally consists of clearing, drainage, grading, erosion control, and streetscape construction in order to complete residential and commercial development on approximately 15 acres of land in the City of Columbus. The Contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. The contract time is 270 calendar days. Liquidated damages of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per day will be assessed for each day past Substantial Completion. In addition to liquidated damages, the Contractor must pay the actual costs incurred by the Owner for engineering and inspection after the stipulated completion time if delayed. Each contractor submitting a bid over $50,000.00 must include their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the bid and envelope. If the bid does not exceed $50,000.00, a note so stating must appear on the envelope. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of the bid is required as security. The successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount.
