The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting sealed bids from interested firms to provide asphalt patching service to repair winter break-up damage of pavement on Primary and Secondary routes in Henry and Patrick County on an as needed basis at locations designated by the Contractor Administrator or the designee. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Patty Harvey at Patty.Harvey@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office will determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 4:00PM EST on March 2, 2026. SPECIFICATIONS: A. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall provide all traffic control, paving and milling equipment, qualified laborers, certified flaggers, supervision, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, materials and all incidentals necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment listed to perform shoulder maintenance, pavement milling and patching operations. All work performed under this contract shall be under the directions of the Contract Administrator or designee. B. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS: 1. The Contractor shall deliver and place approved asphalt materials to meet individual specifications for each location on an "as needed" basis for maintenance in Henry and Patrick County throughout the contract period. Tack coat shall be applied prior to patching/overlay per 2020, or most current version, of the VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications section 310, 311, and 315.
