Life Science Building Civil Repairs The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, and coordination required to complete the scope of work as generally described below, and as further detailed in the Drawings, Specifications and Exhibit B. It includes but is not limited to: - The contract documents as prepared by Gessner Engineering, titled Life Science Building - Civil Repairs, dated 11/21/2025. o The 2022 Uniform General Conditions. o The Texas State University Systems Division 1 Specifications . o SHSU A&E Guidelines: https://www.shsu.edu/dept/facilities- management/aeguidelines/index.html The scope of this project includes the replacement of sidewalks, new concrete cheek wall, new area inlet, new storm sewer, and new area inlet. o Spoils to be hauled off site by contractor, to another location on campus. oPlease be advised that SHSU will hire a testing firm to provide materials inspecting and testing services, for rebar placement, concrete testing, and soil compaction. Contractor responsible for providing a three-foot tall orange roll out fencing around entire project, to secure it nightly. Contractor on-campus parking needs will be coordinated with SHSU. Contractor is responsible for verifying all field measurements and locating all existing utilities prior to commencement of construction. Contractor to notify owner's designated representative if utilities are found that were not marked. Contractor to submit all trenching, excavation, and back-fill specifications for the work that they will be providing. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and conduct all testing for the installed piping. SHSU shall coordinate any needed shutdowns to minimize any impact on campus. Sidewalk and utility shutdowns require a 10-day notice.
