**As of May 7th 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. Additional information will be available following the May 2026 SAWS Board meeting. The project is to develop a system-wide Odor Control Master Plan for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) wastewater collection system. The plan should identify odor sources in the wastewater collection system, characterize and identify the causes of these odors, evaluate the current odor control program, and recommend phased, cost-effective solutions to manage and prevent sewer odors throughout the system. The SAWS system includes nearly 6,200 miles of sewers, 145 lift stations, 14 odor control stations, and 2 bioscrubbers, servicing an area of 930 square miles.
