Site work for a water / sewer project in Hodgkins, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of sand blasting, priming, painting, and chlorinating of an elevated steel water storage tank and all work included in the specifications. The tank to be painted is a steel elevated tank with a capacity of 750,000 gallons. Only qualified contractors who can furnish satisfactory proof of similar experience are eligible to receive plans and submit proposals. Bidders may be required to submit a 'Statement of Experience' listing previous similar projects. Bidders are also required to submit evidence of necessary environmental protection plans for worker and environmental protection and safety with their bid or within forty-eight hours afterward. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond for not less than five percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn after opening without the owner's consent for sixty days. The contractor must furnish a labor and material Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract and pay prevailing wages in accordance with applicable laws. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, and accept the proposal deemed most favorable.
