Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Scope of work includes concrete trails, furnishings, sprinkler irrigation, grading, planting, grassing, and landscape maintenance. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check acceptable to the Owner in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the contract and execute the bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date contract documents are received by the contractor. Bidder submitting electronic bids must comply with the Owner's Order Adopting Section 49.2731 Electronic Bidding Rules, and all electronic bids and bid securities must be submitted through www.CivcastUSA.com. By submitting a bid, bidder acknowledges and agrees that the contract documents may be accepted, executed, or agreed to using an electronic signature, in accordance with Owner's Electronic Signature Rules for Construction Contracts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a bid. The successful bidder, if any, will be the responsible bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the project. Bidders must register on www.CivcastUSA.com to view and/or download specifications, plans, and associated documents for this project. All questions must be submitted no later than noon on Friday, March 6, 2026 Written questions will be accepted via email to Josh Lock jlock@swagroup.com A. The work of this Contract includes but is not necessarily limited to: grading, drainage, concrete trails, site furnishings, tennis court complete in place, sprinkler Irrigation, planting, grassing, and landscape maintenance as shown on drawings and specified herein. B. Contractor's Duties: 1. Except as specifically noted, provide and pay for: a. Labor, materials and equipment. b. Tools, construction equipment and machinery. c. Other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of work. d. Taxes, when required. 2. Secure and pay for, as necessary for proper execution and completion of work, as applicable at time of receipt of bids, and/or execution of Contract. a. Permits b. Government fees c. Licenses 3. Contractor shall locate irrigation lines, drainage or sewer lines, water, gas, and other utility and electrical service lines, piping and conduits in the work area. Contractor shall not disrupt any existing utility lines. Should any interfere with work notify Landscape Architect for disposition. 4. Give required notices to appropriate district, county and city officials, utility representatives and others whose existing facilities or property is affected by the work. 5. Comply with codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders and other legal requirements of public authorities which bear on performance of work. 6. Promptly submit written notice to Landscape Architect of any observed variance of Contract Documents from legal requirements. a. Work on the observed variance will stop until a Letter to Proceed is received and signed by the Landscape Architect and Owner. b. Assume responsibility for performing work known to be contrary to such requirements. 7. When concealed utilities or services which are not shown on the Drawings are encountered during construction operations, the Contractor shall trace the services and determine which are active and which are abandoned. Abandoned lines shall be removed and piping shall be capped or plugged as required. Active lines shall be relocated as required. The Contractor shall submit a sketch indicating the proposed relocation of such active lines. Materials to be used shall be those specified in the applicable Sections, where possible, and shall match the existing installations where suitable materials are not specified. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing abandoned lines and relocating active lines which interfere with new work. The Contractor shall submit a proposal for any relocation of concealed utility lines, not indicated on the Drawings to be removed or relocated, as specified for changes in the Work. 8. Maintain a copy of plans and specifications on-site which is kept current with modifications and/or change orders. Also keep current on these documents, asbuilt changes
