The project is expected to be awarded on October 13, 2026.** This project consists of the construction and development of a new public park facility, including but not limited to the construction of concrete drives and parking areas, concrete paving, sports fields, park lighting, landscaping, irrigation systems, architectural features, underground utilities, playground facilities, detention ponds, drainage improvements, and associated earthwork. Work shall include site clearing, grading, excavation, installation of drainage and utility infrastructure, construction of park amenities and facilities, and all appurtenant work necessary to provide a complete and operational park facility in accordance with the Contract Documents. A cashier's check or Certified Check from a Texas Bank, or acceptable Bid Bond from a reliable surety company authorized to do business in Texas, payable to the City of League City, in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will, within 10 calendar days of Award of Contract, enter into a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The Bidder's deposit shall be forfeited and become the property of the OWNER in the event the Bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract and to furnish bonds acceptable to the OWNER within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Award from the OWNER. The Bid Deposit of all except the three lowest Bidders will be returned within 10 calendar days after the opening of the bids. The Bid Deposit of the three lowest bidders will be returned within 7 working days after the executed contract and required Bonds have been fully approved by the OWNER. The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE, PAYMENT, and MAINTENANCE BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. Upon consideration of the proposals the City Council plans to award a Contract; however, the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to it.
