Demolition and site work for a stadium in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 60,000-square-foot, 6,900-seat stadium; and for site work for a stadium.

The City of Fort Myers is seeking submittals for ITB 26-030 Demolition of City of Palms Park. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, insurance, and incidentals necessary to complete the demolition work. _ Contractor must be licensed in the State of Florida. _ Contractor must have Minimum 10 years of demolition experience. _ Contractor must be experienced with large-scale demolition projects. 2.4. Pre-Demolition Requirements _ Conduct site investigation and verify existing conditions. _ Review available drawings and utility information. _ Document existing conditions of the stadium and adjacent properties. _ Finalize demolition permit through City of Fort Myers Community Development. City will pay all fees. _ Provide a schedule of proposed demolition as well as any planned road closures within 15 days of Notice To Proceed and prior to onsite demolition commencing. _ Installation of Best Management Practices as necessary to protect City drainage infrastructure and prevent offsite tracking throughout the project. 2.5. Permits & Regulatory Compliance _ City has provided an asbestos survey of the property. _ Obtain all required demolition permits and approvals. _ Comply with OSHA, EPA, FDEP, Florida Building Code, and City ordinances. 2.6. Utility Disconnections _ Water services shall be removed to the backside of the meter boxes. _ Sewer services shall be terminated with a capped stub out at the property line. _ All gas lines shall be disconnected and secured at the property line in accordance with the gas company policies. _ All FPL meters shall be located and City shall work with FPL to have meters removed. _ All telecommunication lines and facilities shall be disconnected and secured at the property line in accordance with the appropriate company policies. _ Provide written verification of utility termination. _ All Work shall comply with the City of Fort Myers Standards. All questions regarding the meaning or intent of the solicitation documents shall be submitted through electronically. Only questions received before the deadline specified in the solicitation timeline shall be considered. Written responses to questions will be binding via addenda or online. Proposed City Council Approval Date: April 6, 2026 Contractors are strongly encouraged to read the various Guides and Tutorials available online well in advance of their intention of submitting a response to ensure familiarity. Submittals must be accompanied by a Solicitation surety of not less than five percent (5%) of the Solicitation amount, made payable to the City. Said surety shall be in the form of a Solicitation bond or cashier's check on a national or state bank, executed by the Contractor, and a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Florida, and acceptable to the City, as guarantee, that the Contractor will enter into a contract with the City within fifteen (15) calendar days after written notice of award. Bid bonds can be on any form for that purpose (i.e. AIA) The Contractor shall, within ten (10) calendar days after award of Solicitation by City Council, furnish the City with a Performance Bond, a Payment Bond and applicable Certificates of Insurance acceptable to the City. Each Bond shall be equal to the amount of the Contract Price conditioned upon the performance by the Contractor of all undertakings, covenants, terms, conditions, and Contracts of the Contract Documents, and upon the prompt payment by the Contractor of all persons supplying labor and materials in the execution of the Work provided by the Contract Documents. These Bonds shall remain in effect at least until one (1) year after the date when Final Payment becomes due, except as otherwise provided by law or regulation or by the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also furnish such other Bonds as may be required by the Special Conditions. QA date changed to 03/10/2026 at 2:00 PM ET as per Adda 9.
