Site work and new construction of a military facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 40,000-square-foot military facility.
The Royal Canadian Air Force requires new infrastructure for the Western Main Operating Base in Alberta, including a two-bay hangar, new apron and taxiway, supporting infrastructure, and potential fueling infrastructure. The estimated tenant net space of the hangar is approximately 40,000 square meters. The scope includes the construction of the two-bay hangar, apron, taxiway, and supporting infrastructure for day-to-day operations. The project will be procured via a Modified Design-Build contract. Contractors and consultants are advised that there are security requirements, notably the need for a valid and active Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET. Bidders should begin the security clearance application process if they do not already hold this clearance. The project may also include an Indigenous Benefits Plan, requiring meaningful sub-contracting opportunities for Indigenous businesses and peoples.
