The work includes the construction of a new 6-inch water main along 4th Street between King and Ann Streets. The work shall include the water main, valves, hydrants, water service connections, service piping, associated fittings, and associated removals and replacements. Sealed bids are required, and bid security in the form of a certified or cashier’s check or bid bond of 5% of the bid is required and should be made payable to the City of Chadron, Nebraska. Contract Documents may be examined at specified locations or obtained from the office of M.C. Schaff & Associates for a fee. After purchase of plans, a PDF set of the plans and specifications can be provided to the Contractor at no additional cost. Questions shall be submitted in writing or via email to the Engineer: Michael Olsen, M.C. Schaff & Associates, 818 S. Beltline Highway E., Scottsbluff, NE 69361, molsen@mcschaff.com, a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the bid date. Any questions received within seven (7) days of the bid date will not be addressed in an addendum, and the Bidder shall be responsible for bidding the most stringent condition.
