The work consists of upgrading and adding parking lots at four elementary schools: Davis, Johnson, Gentian, and Mathews Elementary Schools for Muscogee County School District in Columbus, Georgia. - Davis Elementary: Asphalt parking area with 12 new parking spaces, driveway, underground detention system, storm drain system, and related items. - Johnson Elementary: Asphalt parking area with 30 new parking spaces, driveway, underground detention system, storm drain system, and related items. - Gentian Elementary: New driveway and access road, asphalt parking area with 55 new parking spaces, underground detention system, storm drain system, and related items. - Mathews Elementary: Asphalt parking area with 22 new parking spaces, extra drive aisle width added to existing drive, and related items. All four jobs are to be bid as one lump sum project with individual line items for each parking lot. All proposals must be lump sum; segregated proposals will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must file an executed "Contractor’s Qualification Statement" (AIA Document A305, latest edition) with the Owner at least fifteen days prior to the bid date. Bids cannot be withdrawn for thirty days after opening; bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of at least 5% of the Base Bid and be submitted on specified proposal forms. Performance and Payment Bonds covering the contract sum will be required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required.
