The Project includes the following Work: Removal and replacement of existing concrete curb and gutter, PCC fillet sections, concrete valley gutter, concrete sidewalk, asphalt concrete pavement, gravel surfacing, course installation, site restoration, and other associated work at various locations throughout the City of Ft. Pierre, South Dakota The submittal of the Bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation by Bidder that the Bidder has examined carefully the bidding documents, visited the site, is familiar with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed, and correlated bidder's observation with the requirements of the bidding documents. Construction services in South Dakota are subject to tax under SDCL 10-46A. Contractors shall include the applicable tax in their bid price for each item of work. Tax questions should be directed to the South Dakota Department of Revenue at 800-829-9188. Bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security as specified in the bidding documents. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice of Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. The City of Fort Pierre reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 30 days after the date and time set for opening of the bids.
